Hello, I am Dr. Janice Schneider and I am a licensed psychologist in California. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles at Alliant International University. I specialized in Individual, Family and Children, with a subspecialty in children and adolescents. I have over 20 years of experience offering psychotherapy, psychodiagnostic assessment, consultation, group therapy, and individual therapy. In all areas, I work with patients across the lifespan.
I offer psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, families and adults. I have expertise in neurodiversity in children and adults. I am well-versed in many types of interventions and work on tailoring your therapy based on your goals. Therapy is most effective when you and your therapist dialogue and collaborate. I hope to empower clients by developing a better understanding of their thoughts, emotions and behaviors through compassionate and evidence-based therapy.
I incorporate mindfulness techniques. The connection to mind and body is key in achieving best results. We focus on your mental health; however, physical health and how we take care of ourselves overall are equally important. Research shows sleep, nutrition, stress management and coping skills are key factors in achieving best mental health. Additionally, ongoing dialogue regarding the client’s thoughts and feelings about the therapeutic relationship is a key component. I incorporate and value cultural humility.
